Lazio’s native grape varieties par excellence are Cesanese di Affile and Cesanese comune for red wines, and Passerina for white wines. In our vineyards, we grow mainly Cesanese di Affile. With smaller, blacker berries compared to Cesanese comune, it produces wines with good aging potential. We normally harvest during the first half of October.

Passerina instead is a white grape that owes its name to the fact that the sparrows (le passere) demonstrate particular interest in its fruit. In the Lazio region, it is predominant in the province of Frosinone.

SAXA

Passerina del Frusinate IGT

Genuine and honest, this is a white from bygone days to be drunk throughout the meal. The Passerina grape makes a fresh, mouth-watering wine, perfect for aperitif or paired with light dishes.

Aromatic with hints of white flowers and hay, on the palate it is full, mineral and persistent.

ROSE’

Rosato del Frusinate IGT

Made with the Cesanese di Affile grape, our rosé delights and surprises for its balance and elegance. On the nose, it is fragrant and floral; on the palate it reveals a full structure: lightly tannic with a note of crunchy cherry.

Perfect for aperitif but also throughout the meal.

CAMPANINO

Cesanese del Piglio DOCG

The most representative Cesanese of the cellar, Campanino is the perfect complement to typical dishes from the regional cuisine, like Caccio e Pepe or Spaghetti all’Amatriciana, but not only.

On the nose, camphor notes and red fruits give complexity while on the palate it is full and persistent.

ARRINGO

Cesanese del Piglio DOCG Superiore

Made using the Governo all’uso Toscano method with double fermentation, this wine benefits from slightly raisined grapes that bring out the roundness of the Cesanese.

On the nose as well as on the palate we find red fruits, cherries under spirits and spices. Full and persistent, it pairs well with cold cuts and cheeses as well as pasta dishes from the Ciociaria region.

PICCHIATELLO

Cesanese del Piglio DOCG Superiore

A wine with a big personality, it brings out the best in Lazio’s native grape variety par excellence, and pairs exquisitely with traditional dishes.

A beautiful ruby red with violet hue, this wine is complex on the nose with hints of Mediterranean brush. On the palate, it is elegant with fine tannins. Ideal with Spaghetti all’Amatriciana or meat dishes.

AMOR

Cesanese del Piglio DOCG Superiore

Amor is Roma spelled backwards, and is Rome to the nth degree: beautiful, historical, unique, generous.

On the nose, it is spicy with hints of ripe cherry; on the palate it is full-bodied and round but with good tannins. Its structure makes it perfect for grilled meats or aged cheese.

CAMERE PINTE

Cesanese del Piglio DOCG Riserva

The highest expression of our winery, this deep and complex wine holds surprises in store for those who do not know the breadth and depth of Cesanese.

On the nose it is intense and complex with spices, black pepper and toasted notes. On the palate, its velvety tannins emerge in an elegant, balanced wine. Perfect for grilled meats, stew or braised beef, or as a wine for meditation.
